GASTEC DOSIMETER TUBES PROVIDE SAFETY MANAGERS A SIMPLE AND ECONOMICAL SOLUTION FOR PERSONAL AIR MONITORING
TAMPA, FL – Nextteq is proud to provide Gastec’s innovative dosimeter tube system, which provides on the spot, time-weighted average (TWA) monitoring of air contaminants. Whether for personnel or area monitoring, Gastec provides users with easy-to-read, on-the-spot sampling, with three times more applications than competitive dosimeter tube systems. Dosimeter tubes offer sampling flexibility – perform partial or full-shift time-weighted average (TWA) from 30 minutes to 10-hours, or long-term sampling up to 48 hours.
Anyone on the job site can accurately take a TWA measurement without extensive training. To operate, just snap off the easy break end of the tube and insert the dosimeter tube fully into the dosimeter tube holder. Clip the tube holder in the breathing zone of an employee or mount in a stationary location for area monitoring. The Gastec Dosimeter Tube system does not require pumps or calibration. The gas or vapor to be measured passively enters the tube and begins reacting with the reagent to produce a length of stain indication. Simply read the printed measurement scale on the tube and divide the measurement scale reading by the sampling time to achieve the average exposure measurement in parts-per-million. With immediate results, the user can begin to take corrective action at the first sign of a problem.
Gastec dosimeter tube technology makes it inexpensive and easy to develop exposure profiles for your workers. Gastec dosimeter tubes allow you to accurately make numerous intermittent TWA measurements throughout the work shift with only one dosimeter tube. For example, hourly reading during an 8-hour shift can be performed, unlike other industrial hygiene monitoring methods that allow for a single sample analysis representative of the entire sample period. The longer sampling period allows you to continue sampling workers without the added costs or sampling errors that occur when overtime is required.
