Nextteq® CBA Kit Support

Product Overview

Nextteq®'s new CBA kit including Nextteq® regulator and flow meter system.

2 NEW Nextteq® CBA Kits!

The new Standard CBA Kit includes the ability to detect for common contaminants such as CO, COâ‚‚, Oil Mist and Water Vapor.  The new Deluxe CBA Kit includes the ability to test for oxygen!  Both kits include the new Nextteq® regulator and flow meter system with upgraded features that improve accurate readings.

Quality is key and our new Nextteq® CBA Regulator and Flow Meter System is no exception.  The Nextteq® CBA Regulator and Flow Meter System uses a two stage regulator. The first stage reads the pressure from the supply tank. The second stage is adjustable. This adjustable 2nd stage is not found on competitive regulators and allows the user to fine tune the pressure delivered to the flow meter which is part of the regulator assembly.  This allows a more precise and more accurate reading of the target gas.

Testing is made simple!  Once you attach the regulator to an air bottle or you adapt it to an air supply manifold, follow the 3 steps below for all tubes except Oâ‚‚:

  • Break the tube tips and insert the tube with the arrow pointing down
  • Set the delivery pressure and flow rate for the tube being used
  • At the end of the allotted time, remove the tube from the regulator, and read the concentration on the tube.

For the Oâ‚‚ tube offered in the Deluxe CBA Kit, you will be using a syringe kit with included instructions.  The syringe is used to precisely measure the 50cc volume of air needed.

Q&A

  • What is the OSHA and NFPA standard regarding the amount of Oxygen (Oâ‚‚) concentration in an air tank?

    Approximately 21% Oxygen

  • What are the typical contaminants that should be tested for before using any supply breathing air (compressors, air tanks, and air line)?

    Carbon Dioxide

    Carbon Monoxide

    Oil Mist

    Water Vapor

  • What are the potential sources for contamination to your breathing air?

    1) Contaminants are in the source air:

    (i.e. the input air)

    or

    2) Contaminants are produced by the compressor itself:

(i.e. the contaminants entering a compressor are generated by the compressor when filling a tank or air line system)
